Thank you for sharing your journey so openly. You put it so well and the universe definitely has a sense of humor. We feel trapped in darkness and think opening up to others will only sap what little energy we have, only to find out that really allowing another, seeing them, is the very thing that brings us back to light!

Dear Peter, thank you for kind words. At the time, I truly believed that I could not give not more. I never meant for myself to ever turn out that way, but sometimes life has a curious way of shaping us. I am glad I found my way back to the light. I am incredibly grateful for it. It was a hard and long journey, but I am glad I took it. Ela

we appreciated that you didn’t try to make your earlier behaviour look better than it was. you admitted you avoided her, felt irritated by her, and later understood that she had been meeting the version of you who had nothing left to give. that doesn’t excuse it, but it shows what can change when we become less consumed by our own pain. the fact that you noticed her absence before seeing her again says a lot too. really honest piece, thank you for sharing it <3

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. Change starts within us, not outside of us and sometimes it does take a while to actually realize this. It made me realize that dwelling in darkness and past traumas only creates more darkness, but never any light.

And I thank you for the time and effort you invested in reading and sharing your thoughts. 🩵 I appreciate it.

Dear Ela,

I sensed a deep loneliness reading your article. I felt a great disconnect too, and I can only imagine how difficult it was for you to see the tiger eye to eye. But I also noticed your courage to make a decision to work on what’s important for you, and I’m happy for you that you did.

Thank you for sharing your story with us with honesty and tenderness, and I hope you can find the peace you need.
